goals and had 5 assists. Anchored Falcons
defense while leading team in scoring from a
primarily defensive position.
- Steven Thomas,
Mars Hill - Team-high 15 goals in playoff
run.
- Evan Wright,
Mars Hill - Recorded team-high 10 assists,
while adding 8 goals.
- Alex Stutts,
Mars Hill - Team captain. Recorded 3 assists
as a key piece of defense that led Mars Hill
to a Class 1A-4A playoff berth.
- Randall Turner,
Mars Hill - Team captain. Anchored defense
at stopper position.
- Samford
Rodriguez, Florence - Scored 11 goals as
Florence's second-leading scorer. Also added
10 assists.
- Austin Gallegos,
Florence - Had 176 steals and 2 assists as a
defensive player. Will represent North squad
in 2009 AHSAA All-Star Sports Week.
- Daniel Hunt,
Florence - Scored 7 goals and had 3 assists.
- Hunter Rylee,
Florence - Recorded 160 saves in 25 games as
goalkeeper. Led all area keepers with 8
shutouts, while adding 2 assists from the
goal.

- Chandler Watkins,
Mars Hill - Player of the year recorded 5
shutouts while leading Mars Hill to a spot in
the Class 1A-4A state semifinals.
- Katie Butler, Mars
Hill - Captained Panthers from the defensive
sweeper position.
- Sydney Bayles, Mars
Hill - Partnered with Watkins and Butler to help
anchor a defense that allowed less than 2 goals
per game.
- Darby Rappuhn, Mars
Hill - Led Mars Hill with 25 goals and 8
assists.
- Madison St. John,
Florence - Versatile defensive player that saw
time at all positions. Will represent the North
squad in 2009 AHSAA All-Star Sports Week.
- Courtney Rumage,
Florence - Started season as starting goalie but
was moved into the field to add stability on
defense.
- Hope Garner,
